Got my spindle gussets and finally painted my frame after welding on the sliders....

 

Looks brand new!

 

Those came with a lot more preload than mine. Did you ask for that? Guessing that will get you over 2" of lift even with armor.

 

Didn't specify anything, just came like that. I'll have a winch and armor so I'll see where it sits when I put it on. I want the exact same height as the ome when everything is done.

 

I've got a winch and about as much armor as you can get and have less preload than that. But I am sitting at like 1.5 maybe 2" of lift over stock.

About how much less did you have?

 

Are those Eibach coils? What are the specs on the coils? Are they 14", 650#? Does it read something like 300.1400.650S?

Think they came with about 7 threads showing, and I cranked them another 5 or so turns.

I believe that's exactly what mine are.

 

Oh yeah, that does look like much less.

Should I crank them down now or just throw it on and crank it from there?

 

It's better with the least amount of pre load for whatever height you are trying for.

All the weight on a 650# coil scares me a little. I worry about its potential for sag long term. I know you really like the flex tho and are concerned about what a 700# would do to the flex/compression.

 

Yeah, I'm trying to match my lift height that I have currently. So I'll measure before and throw them in and adjust as needed.

 

That will probably be the best way to accomplish what you are looking to do.

Sucks its so hot..

 

Throw them on, drive around for a couple days, and reevaluate. I have less lift than my OME setup but I'm happy with where it sits. They're easy to adjust on the truck anyways.

Even the 650s stuff better than I thought:



We'll see how long they last. Lift is my last concern. Better balance of up and down travel at less lift anyways. Performance is key.

 

That is going to be a busy weekend.
