So this afternoon I took Taco on the drive home and right next to me on the freeway is a Chevy, and what do I see, a couple of those new Offroad pick-up things (Colorado Trail Boss) IMO it's a Chevy Colorado with some stupid lights behind the roof, bed bar thing, factory gloss plastidipped wheels, and a street squeegee. The interior and exterior seemed very Chevy like with a stance to match. The bed looked interesting, but with a stink bug butt with some kind of storage compartment. It had a bed light integrated nowhere, which I guess is cool.

So come now what looks better :)

You don't like the 4 inches of ground clearance and Camry class approach angle?? What the hell are those bars in the bed for? The ridgeline and avalanche also have that design and I think it looks ridiculous.

Haha what a joke...it is basically an exterior package. There is nothing trail boss about it.

All of that is like a $7700 option, no thanks. Now if they end up making the zr2, that will make things interesting.

    Includes:
    • Sport bar with LED trail lights

    • Black Chevrolet bowtie emblems
    • Spray-on bedliner
    • All-weather floor mats with Z71 logo

I'll admit there are a couple visuals on the new Colorado I like better than the 3rd Gen Tacoma. However, how Chevy thinks putting an air dam on the front of the truck makes any sense at all... especially on the Z71 or Off-Road packages. My boss has a Z71 quad cab Colorado for a work truck. The air dam under the front bumper is ridiculous looking. He's got like 6" of ground clearance max. LOL

Yeah $48k for a small pickup? Even if it is diesel and high trim level. Just way too much money.

I think the Colorado looks good minus the air dam and sport bar.

At least Toyota still takes its off-road fanbase into consideration with form and function on the Tacoma, say what you will about the 3rd gen front ends but at least we didnt end up with that.
holy hell that Chevy is ugly af.

The bed line is my least favorite thing on the Colorado. It sticks up like a stink bug and I hate it.

I didn't like the old ones. Had the occasion to use both the crew cab base model and the crew cab z71. The 5cyl was not that great didn't ever get to use the 8cyl or the 4cyl. The worst part was the interior. It was so cheap and fell apart. These seem to be an improvement but still doesn't seem worth the price.

I parked right next to a dark grey one at Home Depot today. I was hoping he would get out first and be jealous! I ended up being too quick and he missed his chance at truck envy. Maybe next time.
