Hey guys so I'm looking to get the bilstein 5100 ride height adjustable shocks but I know they don't make them specifically for the 2016s tacos yet, will the ones for 2nd gens still work? I've noticed several people on here had them and was just wondering if you had any issues.

In my research, a lot of folks have them and they work fine. I'm sure you know this, but it's only height adjustable in the front and via spring perch. For optimal lift, it's best to change out the spring too.

I'm sticking with the factory spring for now, I'm just looking for 1-2" of lift. I'll be upgrading the whole suspension later on when I can get a good deal on the icon stage 3. Thanks for the response.

Very cool. In my research, i was going to do 5100's all the way around, and maybe maybe level the front. Then I read that they are coming out with specific '16 shocks later in the year, so i decided to pass and wait.

There's lots of discussion specific to this setup. Most folks are going with Ome 885 springs with the 5100 set to "0" = 2" lift up front, in the rear 3 leaf AAL and the Billies = 1.5" lift = level truck... add a front driver side spacer for the taco lean = ready set go...FTMFW.

I went 4 5100's, ome 887's and some wheeler aal's. As of now, a fantastic combination!
