Thanks for the compliments! I have been fairly decisive about the mods I wanted to do. I study what I like on other people's trucks and then I buy one thing at a time. I actually had my wheels sitting on my workbench for about 4 months before I settled on what suspension and tires I wanted.

I have a build thread if you want to peruse it to see which mods/parts I purchased. Enjoy the journey!

    Cheers!

Still open to hear people's opinions. Especially with that multi-option suspension group buy that just went up!

I have narrowed it down to something that would get me more along the lines of 2'' of lift with keeping it as level as possible. I'm also thinking 265/70/17 tires would be better for how I plan on using this truck. Basically looking at all the popular ones around here, BFG KO2s, Cooper, Toyo, etc. So if anyone wants to pitch their particular tire of choice, i'm all ears.

Oh, I've also concluded that I need the SCS Ray 10's. Unfortunately that will require waiting until mid-August for the 17'' option. That would coincide nicely for when the first wave of group buys were to be delivered as well. Just need to decide on whether I go dark bronze, or matte gunmetal for my MGM.

    Billy 5100's all four corners
    OME 885x coils
2" Deaver AAL - opinions will vary on this
Method Standard 17x8.5 wheels (4.75 BS)
    Cooper AT/3 tires 265/70/17
Stock UCAs - Good alignment numbers
    No diff drop

2.5" inches of lift up front - 1.75" in the back with a topper a bit of sag since install in the back so sitting at 1.5 inches now. With sag sitting at about 1.2" of rake. Looks level to the naked eye.

Coils assembled from Headstrong Offroad. Local Bucks County PA guy installed for $225 (or so - can't remember the exact amount but it was 3 hours labor or so).

Love my tire choice - reasonably aggressive, had to remove the little front mudflaps but otherwise no trimming. Super quiet. Haven't had them in the mud yet but they work reasonably well on sandy roads and deep sand (when aired down)

Rides great, totally happy. YMMV...IMG_126.jpg IMG_127.jpg

    Right On, @ZRXDean

Funny you mention it, but the fiance is actually from Bucks County, which is where her family still resides. Dad's shop is in North Philly, however, and that's where we'll obviously be doing the work.

The Coopers were actually on my ever-growing list of considerations, but I had yet to price them out until seeing your post. Just did so, and wow, that is noticeably less than some of the other offerings I've considered. I'm not sure if being the owner of an auto shop places her Dad in a position where he gets a noticeable discount if he were to place an order for tires, which is something I need to give him a call about.

Wheels are already settled upon-17'' SCS Ray 10's. Just need to decide on dark bronze or matte gunmetal. Both look great, but the reason I had reservations on going with Bronze TRD beadlocks has been alleviated with the darker shade that SCS is producing right now.

Overall I enjoy the look and stance of your truck. Looks nice with the cap, too! I toy around sometimes with the idea of a soft-topper down the road(camping trips, road trips to national parks, etc).

Now, let's get back to that 2'' Deaver AAL. Why do you suggest this as opposed to the OME Dakar option that almost everyone insists upon? Pros/Cons?

Anyone that wants to chime in to any of this stuff, please do so! All help and/or opinions are appreciated!

I saw the Philly reference in your post so thought I would throw out the local reference. Sounds like you've got a pretty good idea of where you're going with your kit. I opted for the Deaver AAL mostly due to cost. I also considered my limited off-roading, towing and load carrying. DAKARS were a bit overkill for my intended use. I went with the 2" AAL since I'm running the cap and didn't want Bro Lean after it settled. So far the settling had left me with a tiny bit of rake which is perfect to me.

Pros noted above - at least as far as my needs. Cons - I suppose I'll have to consider a change if/when it sags more. Also would consider airbags or DAKARS if my towing or hauling needs increase. Some have noted a crappy ride with an AAL but personally that has NOT been my experience. Rides better than stock if you ask me. Stiffer (or more firm) but not harsh is the best way I would describe it. It will eventually wear out as its combined with the stock (crappy) leafs but more than suits me for the foreseeable future.

Hope this helps - post pics when done!
