Well, we know who it is on here now and that'll probably be worse for them than blast would be...........Gotta love the concept of someone sucking, not making it right, being called out for sucking then wanting to sue for what? Being butthurt over having to own the fact that they suck? Stupid stupid stupid. If they don't want bad reviews then don't suck.

Haha f these guys. I just called them. They won't reimburse me for the shock. I'm going to have to pay them to put my stock suspension back on the front. So I will have paid these dumbass redneck motherhumpers $500 to essentially put on leaf springs

Yeah no, id show up to that shop and raise hell... thats bullshit, they are 100% liable for the shit they messed up.

Either that, or return your truck to how it was before and refund you AND reimburse you for the shock.

Simple: Tell them "you broke it, you're paying for it." You can't be afraid to be an a**hole. Don't ASK them to pay for it, TELL them to. If you're too nice, they're going to walk all over you. It doesn't matter if they think you're a jerk, because #1 they owe you a new shock and #2 its not like you'll be going back there for service...

I have no leverage though. All I can say is that I feel like they should refund me and pay for the shock. These country ass bumpkins are not going to do that and also I'm honestly afraid they will mess with my truck on purpose if I argue anymore than I have

Just threaten to sue for damages including the time you are not able to use your truck since they are taking longer. They owe you the cost of the shock, and putting the truck back on stock parts. If not, sue.

PS I hope you paid there with a card. If this battle keeps going on, I'd dispute the charge. "Service's rendered were not performed correctly and damaged my property" is what I would tell the CC company.

I'm just going to get out as fast as I can. The guy said on the phone that he won't "kick me while I'm down". Little guy is the reason that "I'm down"

You have the law. If you asked me to install a part on your truck, and I went and broke it, I would owe you a new part. It would be illegal for me to say fuck you and let you deal with it. Unless you signed a contract that said the shop is not liable for breaking your shocks upon install which would be ridiculous.

Suing is not worth the cost of a shock and they can claim that I didn't specify what setting I wanted it on the first time

Dude...seriously? You have ALL THE LEVERAGE in this.

#1 they screwed up the first install
#2 they broke a part when fixing it

ALL the damage was due to their ignorance. If you really think you have no leverage, you are just too afraid to play ball with them.

Was it working and non-broken when you brought it to him? Is it now no longer working/ broken? Their fault.

Be polite. Be calm. Speak slowly to a manager or owner. Give them a chance to make it right.

If they refuse to make it right file with BBB and file in small claims court. This route could be exponentially more expensive than replacing the strut in question.

Threaten... They don't want to pay for legal fees.

Plus, the cost of a shock is not what you sue for. You sue for damages. How long has your truck been there that is longer than you expected? Say 5 days? Then they owe you for the cost of any gas you used driving to the shop, if you rented a car to keep your normal life going, any inconvenience, plus punitive damages which can be up to 7 times the amount of actual damages. So say they really only Wronged you 1000 dollars. You can be awarded up to 8000 depending on how much of an asshole they are.
