Whats more difficult front suspension install or rear w/aal??

    OK I shouldn't stay anything but why are you being a dick? Allot of people rely on TW for information about working on the rigs product reviews ect. I'm sorry that youve had a hell of a time removing UCAs the 7 times you've done it, but by saying you have to bend the sheet metal period is in my opinion poor information as its not true. If you cut the through bolts and install a new one backwards bending is not necessary. Not everybody has every tool imagineable to them at their disposal so saying you have to bend period could prompt somebody to run out and spend 50 bucks on 20 " chanel locks that they don't need. Hell depending on build budget 50 bucks could almost buy a Deaver AAL or block which could be a big deal to somebody. I don't pretend to know everything about these trucks but a little research goes along way. I hate to say it but I believe this thread is now ruined and anybody reading should look elsewhere for info... Un subbed:(

    i think physically the rears are much easier.

    i used ratchet straps to hold things in place as i placed the AAL. you have to think more, but it is easier. a few jacks to rescue your self is a must!!

    i did the UCA once. we pried out the sheet metal. i cant remember the effort..but we reinstalled the shaft/bolt from the other direction and it wasnt to to bad.

    i do know, we did the coil/strut and the UCA at the same event. i would cry if i did the strut, put it back together and attached it again for the UCA. most of the same fasteners need repeat business..no thanks.

    I struggled way more on the fronts, but my LCA bolts were rusted to the metal sleeves and made it a real PITA. I ended up bending the Cam bolt tabs so luckily I got new ones with the frame replacement shortly after. After the frame replacement I got to redo the rears again.
