Picked up the "Green Machine" up last Friday. 1995.5 Tacoma 4X4 SR5 with 5-speed 3.7L V6 with 227K miles.

This was a "roofing truck". It spent the last year at a trailer park with a truck bed full of tin, beer cans and half-eaten corn cobs. (Only on Arkansas).

So far, I charged the AC, "Simple Green" the engine clean, and removed the hideous rain guards around the windows as well as the hood bug shield.

    Things to do this weekend.
    • Radiator Flush with new fluids.
    • Front and Rear Diff change and fill with Valvoline 75W-90 Synthetic.
    • Drain and fill transfer case and manual tranny with Redline MT90.
    • Change oil with new Wix filter and Valvoline 5W-30 High Mileage Synthetic.
    • Remove gummy residue from rain guards.
    • Replace "Euro" garbage taillights with OEM taillights.
    • Beat out dent in chrome bumper
    • Replace cracked plastic radiator grille.
    • Test a 3M wheel sticker remover on portion of the flaking stock sticker on the gas door to see if it's worth removing the nasty body length decals without significant paint fade
Future plans: Coming soon but will include a lift, bigger tires, tube bumpers? bed liner?

    More to come.
