    Thanks fellas!

I got video footage from the surveillance cameras at work and contacted Fox Denver. They swung by this evening and filmed a short piece and told me it would air tonight.

Let's see if we can get this doucherat to scurry out of his hidey hole.

Got off of the east bound train at 1:30pm at the Oak Street stop in Lakewood. It's the guy closest to the camera in the black and green shirt and khaki cargo shorts.

Man I remember my Haro got stolen out of the front yard of my friends house. The next day the kid rode in front of my house I chased him down and beat the shit out of him. My dad was stoked and gave me 20 bucks.

You just made my night/weekend, that is a great screenshot, but where it's such a high quality shot, would it be possible to zero in on just him or maybe his head to make him even more identifiable. They have ways to enhance and focus to the pixel level it may be that little bit to help a person recognize him, then just really go viral, while the irons hot and really nail that thief.

PLEASE post that screenshot to Craigslist lost/found or where ever you can to get the word out, even maybe use a photo printer and post this screenshot on lamp poles where he is walking, maybe someone in the area recognizes him.

I fully intend to plaster some posters at the Oak Street stop. I also contacted RTD and requested any footage they have from the stop at that time. I have accepted that at this point my bike is gone, but it doesn't mean I can't still get some justice out of this.

I agree, this scum isn't a ghost, so their are people who know him, just have to reach the right eyes, with any semblance of a conscious and this scum will bow to American justice or better yet "TacomaWorld Justice". :ballchain::amen:

Hey, you're fighting for what you worked hard for, so balls to the walls and let the khaki wearing scum bow to your perseverance/will.

I would make it known that you will offer a reward, you shouldn't have to, but if it makes someone pick up the phone it's a reward well spent.

I also mention the reward, seeing how this is a Holiday weekend people are busy and the reward may help.

Best of luck to you man. I really hope you can catch this guy and get your bike back... I know when I have my bike in the bed it doesn't leave my sight.

Looks like you're headed in the right direction with that video footage. Definitely keep an eye out on CL and the for sale section on Pinkbike. If he's dumb enough you'll see it posted.

I wish this country would start getting tough on criminals.

Why would a police dept not investigate crimes?

The only thing I don't understand, is why the KDVR news link you posted, has posted a screenshot that is almost 100% unidentifiable, while you just showed us a screenshot that is almost 100% identifiable. Was that their choice, if not I would have them upload the screenshot you have here, as it would be a lot easier to nab this scum thief.

I wish I knew. This is the second instance where I have gone to the police with evidence or the opportunity to catch someone involved in theft/fraud. They have had no interest in pursuing either case instead doing little more than filing a report and telling me to take it up with the insurance company. I understand that theft is low on their radar but I'm doing all of the leg work on this one, at least humor me.

That was totally their choice. I'll have to see if it can be changed. I've proceeded to circulate that image across Facebook, Craigslist, and some mountain biking forums. At least I'll be able to say that I tried.

I think I may know why, the screenshot they used has the perp doing it, while the better screenshot here, shows "a person of interest", so to avoid a potential lawsuit by insinuating the wrong person in a crime, they have taken the safe route.

Sounds reasonable. Good news for me is my friend was standing outside when the guy rode by on my bike so he can positively identify the individual I have named as the one who stole my bike. Eye witness corroboration FTW!
