looking to do a timing belt job on my 2000 tacoma 3.4V6.

purchased the 15 piece kit from Ebay but the water pump that come with the kit says Aisin.

after reading some post many pointed out the face that it was very important to stick with OEM toyota espically for the water pump replacement.

i went to toyotapartsdeal.com and looked up for a oem pump (oem pt# 16100-69395) but it says it was replaced by new part number (16100-69398-83) which seems to me the Aisin part that i got with the kit.

anyway should i purchase the oem pump from toyotapartsdeal with the replacement part number the same as my Aisin pump and hope they send me a toyota pump, or, will/is the Aisin pump oem toyota standards?

thanks in advance for any input.

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Aisin was the OEM belt used. Toyota doesn't have name brand parts for a lot of things. Aisin is one of their main suppliers, and they build to OEM specs.

    thanks for the replies guys.

just want to make sure quality is the same.

once i replaced a chevy S-10 OEM fuel pump with a AC-delco replacement and was not the same part. AC-delco was definitely built cheaper.

hopefully the Aisin is the same as the Toyota.

after searching a little online they Toyota OEM pumps looks like there is a "TOYOTA" stamped on the pump vs the "AISIN" that is stamped on the pump that i got with my ebay kit.

    any other .02

Aisin is factory. Toyota actually owns a good portion of the aisin brand and youl notice alot of parts and electronics on the truck are aisin branded

I just order same brand as Toyota but without the Toyota stamp.
