    Aloha gang,

Anyone have a place they could recommend to have my timing belt replaced? Got a 97 tacoma 3.4L that has 205K miles and have no clue when or if the timing belt has ever been done no stickers etc.

Called servco for a price quote and it was 1,600+ so figured I'd ask here first.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Mahalo

Pelfreybilt, Warn, BAMF, DTRL toggle on/off, FJ OEM Fog/Aux Light switches, 2012 lower center console swap, wired in auto-dimming rear view mirror, Wet-Okole inside, Weathertech , Rigid, Tint, Roto-Pax, Bestop, OME, Extended SS brake lines, TRD TX Pro/Baja Graphite 16" Rims
I think most shops would be in the 600-1000 range unless you tackled it yourself. I think parts are around 300

Its worth doing on your own. The thing that is time consuming is just removing everything to get access to the chain. Watch some YouTube videos or hit up some of the locals. I'm sure you could bribe someone with a 6 pack to come help

    Mahalo Bradda's for the info!

Launch, I usually do bro but my job keeps me in the mountains for 4-5 days a week. When I come out I'm pretty beat and tired and would rather drop my truck off and have it worked on while im up mauka. And pick it up when I get out and it'll be ready because I usually hunt for work on one weekend day so need my truck. Plus i got a 5 month old that eats up all my spare time at the moment LOL!

I'm cool with the cost you quoted Luka, Anyone have any shops they could recommend?

    Mahalo Again, Aloha!

I know island brake and aligment would probaly tackel this and I trust them. Or my buddy in Wahiawa, Osborne Auto, could make quick work of this as well. I guess it just depends on where you're located and your time frame.
