Nope, it's next to La Puente, a run down ghetto area. Not quite East L.A. but pretty close!

They charged $87.99 for a synthetic oil change. I bought 10 quarts of Mobil 1 synthetic oil from Walmart @ $22.96 each (on sale) + $12 rebate on each = $21.92 + $4.00 for an oil filter = $25.92 and 10 minutes of your time to change the oil = $66.07 you could of saved if you did the oil change yourself + have 4 quarts of oil left over for the next oil change.

I would like a service Rep. to justify charging $285.99, for a belt inspection. Maybe that Toyota dealership inspection was made using a newly developed "quantum microscope", which uses photoionization microscopy to visualize the structure of the rubber belt directly. Seeing how that dealership just spent $100,000 on the "quantum microscope", $285.99 would be justified and a great deal.

2010 - 2016 4 Runners - 5th Gen use 6.6 qts. 0W-20. You are going to pay for 7 qts. of 0W-20. That only comes in synthetic. The dealer receipt will usually say genuine Toyota oil as that info is stored in a computer. More often than not, you get something altogether different. If she really got 0W-20, any brand, then the price is not that weird for a dealership. There are plenty of others charges on that bill that are far more ridiculous than the oil change.

I just changed mine today, I think the OEM filter was like 12 bucks! Literally took me less than 10 minutes to do. I'd rather get a three finger prostate exam before I'd take my truck to those guys.

Their yelp reviews reflect this as well. It makes me wounder what their hourly labor rate is because I know there is a standard for the time required for maintenance.

Did she actually pay $2459.06? It looks to me like everything below the red and yellow lines are recommendations for additional service and the charges that would be encountered if she chose to have the service done.
In addition to my Taco, I have an 06 Mustang and Ford always gives me a service report with my oil change, with their suggestions, that I look over, do some things myself, have other things done by my independent service guy, and blow some things off.

I do this when I get work done at the local dealer. I love standing there with the service e writer and checking off the things he recommends. If it's something Icant do or feel like doing Ill schedule a follow on service, never get it done same day unless it's critical. This way I don't feel rushed into service work

I guess female rape victims include more than just physical sexual assault.

    Disgusting.

Not at any dealer I do business with. One tried it on me with a different vehicle and the dealership did not like my response. Went in for a basic oil change and they tried to charge me 3,000.00 saying my frame was bent do to a bad accident and would not pass inspection. I had to tell them that it had just been inspected the previous week by another dealer. OOOps.

'Not at any dealer I do business with' .... 'One tried it on me'

Life long Toyota owner, but recently bought a honda for the wife. World of difference in fairness...at least my Honda dealership. $29 for an oil change, $249 for 30K service which included new filters, rotation, oil change, brake flush and a bunch of check it items. Toyota would probably want $700 for a similar service. And the useless crap Toyota recommends beyond the recommended service is almost as criminal as this service ticket.

This sort of thing is not about the mfg. It's about the dealer. I can just about guarantee you there are plenty of Honda dealers who recommend brake cleaning, FI cleaning; power steering fluid flush, etc., etc. well in advance of when one might even begin to think about these things.

That right there is exactly how I justify my tool collection. One of the few hobbies I have that pays for itself and then some.
