Since my head gasket failed (cyl 6) I have been reading a lot about it. It seems 2005's and some 2006's are plagued with this same issue, (even on low mileage trucks!). It's almost always in the exact same spot (cyl 6) I hardly ever see reports of 2007 to present Tacoma's have this issue, even with outrageously high mileage.

So if your 2005-2006 head gasket blows please call Toyota and let them know! Who knows, maybe we can get a recall. :)

My guess is they know and did something about it. That's why you primarily hear about this on the '05 - '06 models.

A recall on a 10yr - 11yr old truck. Good luck with that.

People have been complaining for 11 yrs. I don't think it's working.

Well... We all know that the more something squeeks and makes noise on our trucks the sooner and more likely it will get fixed, LOL!

Maybe with enough noise and aggregation Toyota will get aggregated enough :)
