I didn't know what you were asking for. I had this picture of the brace in question when I installed headlights and foglights last year

    Screenshot_2016-06-28-20-25-11.jpg

I used the other members picture as it showed the brace a bit clearer that I was concerned about.

To be a little clearer on the issue, it was after a few hours of pondering on it that I started wondering about the center brace. I had what I thought was a short window to get the install done, it closed and I put it back together with stock bumper. Let the seller(not OP) know what I ran into and started thinking about it.

Have you looked up the All Pro instructions?

Also, for the installation of SOS concepts bumper you're required to cut off the drivers side recovery loop. something to consider.

I did follow the AP install. Was a bit unclear on the underside braces to remove. The passenger side front to back brace I was unsure of and removed anyway. Shows 3 lines, 2 to the end caps and one to drivers side front to back brace.

    Screenshot_2016-07-02-22-52-01.jpg
The AP bumper which this is copied from, has a cut out that accomdates the factory recovery loop. So shouldn't have to cut that and it is on the opposite side.

Appreciate the thoughts, I'm drawing a blank without trying it again. Might get a break in the weather Monday to do it again.

Anyone think I need to leave the passenger side brace?
    Screenshot_2016-07-02-22-58-33.jpg

Think it had a tab that the factory skid plate rested on for bolt up. Don't think there is a place on the bumper for it though.

Those instructions are clear as mud!! So you removed both end caps, the drivers side brace, and the passenger side loop that bolts up?

Wow. Shady as shit. I mean people have to work with the budget they have but this is just sick. I wouldn't be able to look at my truck without knowing that, even though Allpro has their issues on here, I had bought a product that directly ripped off someone elses work to a T.

    Especially considering the hustle.

I did not remove the passenger side loop, the way the MS paint was done I thought they did the best they could with the picture they took.

Off the left of pic(passenger side) is another endcap. Thought they just drew a line that direction to show. Thought the impact gun picture was the line to that side in previously posted image.

    Here is that step.

    Screenshot_2016-07-02-23-09-02.jpg

I wouldn't really call that a brace so interpreted myself

Dammit, that better not be it

AP could have been more clear in the beginning as well. I understand they have to do their own research and such, but once they were knowingly on the thread multiple times after publicly being questioned whether they could have sold the rights I jumped as to not miss out weighing my previous costs.

Damn right I will save money where I can. I'll stop at x station for 2.29 a gallon of gas compared to shell on the other side of the street at 2.45.

Wasn't until all the bumpers were sold that Tracy came out publicly with their findings.

Had they came out and said this company has blatantly ripped us off and we are checking legal options as well as finding out who it is, I doubt many on this forum would have bought. Silence sold the bumpers. We found out as much about everything as AP didx minus Richard McMath and KO Offroad, hell I bet we helped them more than not.

Not an excuse, and I'm not regretting my choice other than problems I am posting.

It's sounds to me like AP did their homework before pointing fingers.

Like I said it's just how I'd feel if this went down and I bought one of them bumpers. I'm not trashing you personally.

Really? You needed to hear from allpro that this was a copy? It's no surprise you are having trouble installing a bolt on bumper.

I get that and understand your premise.

I don't defend as I can't or couldn't afford. A bunoer was on my list but well into the furture. On a waiting list for some rims right now, can't mount those without tires though. Seen this come up and wasn't interested, I wanted aluminum as I went 884's, but still have a 10mm spacer left for height. Thought they would equal out weight wise.

Once I thought about it, figured I could buy this bumper, buy 885's, pay labor to have new studs for the 10mm plate install(had to do either way) and swap springs. Even with all that I was dtill under just the cost of an aluminum bumper regardless of the maunfacturer.

I jumped before I didn't have the option at that price.
