So, just bought a 2016 SR5 Taco and I know little about trucks. Just converted from my Subaru WRX. I've been researching for a while but can't seem to find a "yes" or "no" answer.

The taco came with steel wheels, so I'm looking to get rid of them. Eventually, I will have a 2" lift. At the moment I want to know if a tire size of 275/70/17 will fit without rubbing or causing any major issues? Again this is on the 2016.

265/70/17 should work with no issues though I think depending on certain wheels and their offset it is still a possibility. I put on 265/70/17 KO2 wit TRD SEMA wheels and have no issues.

IMO, 275/70/17 is an odd size, and most owners don't run them. 265/70/17 is one of the standards that folks do on the truck. you should not have any rub (depending on tire)

Depending on the offset of the wheels it might fit but doubt it. I have the same as another post 265x70x17 ko2

275's on a stock 2013 DCLB with T4R rims don't rub. Probably doesn't help you, but I doubt the wheel well on the gen 3s is tighter than the gen 2s.
