I spend close to two hours struggling with so many tabs. there's too many to count. jeez! How did you guys take your grill apart and paint them or dip them? So many here has done it.

I took the front nose from the truck by removing the two bolts and tabs on the top. That was the easy part.

I want to take the outer body colored bezel apart from the metallic colored bezel and inner metallic grill mesh. I removed all the tiny screws. I mean all. And I try to press one tab in at a time, but it's not working.

I stuffed socks into mine as I went, to keep the tabs separated.

You could just put a piece of plastic/cardboard behind the grill. Tape off the edges, and plasti dip it in place. That's what I'm about to do in an hour.

That's how I did mine. I got over trying to get the tabs out and I didn't want to break any so I said screw it. I just put masking tape over everything, turned out pretty good.

I ended up not going the plasti dip route as I read a lot of people saying it chips/peels easily and I didn't want to deal with that, so I ended up getting a spray can of bed liner, and love the look. I think I did 4 coats.
This is coat 2 drying, with a beer of course.
