    Today I started my project day by removing the rear headrests. Followed that up with what you see below. Using it for my pup and for better toting capability. Nothing too fancy, just used some common sense fabrication skills.

    I like it. Do you think it would be stable if the outer legs were moved to the center? I would hate lose the easy access of just sliding small Items in from the side.

    Good question. I am not an engineer, nor do I play one on TV AND, I didn't stay at a Holiday Inn Express last night so...I don't know.
    You could use smaller legs or, try them inboard. May be fine.

    Nah, just wanted a simple dog platform. It is light enough and not bolted down so I can lift and put stuff underneath if need be.

    I had a piece of cheap 1/2 plywood laying around and that is what I used. Sanded birch would've been my choice if I had not had that other piece already in stock.
