Anyone know if the emblems on the lift gate are easy to remove? Some cars have them stuck on with studs and leave holes. Some are just glued on. Would hate to find out the hard way!

If you mean the "V6 and 4X4" emblem on the tailgate it comes right off. It is stuck on with double-sided tape. Use fishing line to get behind the emblem and cut through the tape. Wrap the line around your fingers like dental floss and pull through. Then use goo-gone to remove the rest of the adhesive residue.

It helps to do it on a warm day, or use a hair dryer to warm up the adhesive. It'll come right off. If you don't have fishing line, use floss.

I debadged mine in minutes. Just left the tacoma ones on. Use floss or fishing line to "saw" the back off, its super easy and quick. I then peeled off the thick double sided tape with my nail and used a liquid to remove the last of the residue.
Go for it, it looks much cleaner.

They're not drilled in. If the surface is hot it'll make your job much easier since it makes the adhesive more plyable. Take your time and don't try to rush it. Watch a few youtube videos and it'll give you a sense of what to expect.

You'll end up using the fishing line or dental floss like a saw wit back and forth motiins to cut through the adhesive. I would advise that once you start to see the emblem lifting you don't try to just go peal it off wit your fingers....continue to saw through the adhesive until it comes off. Just my two cents.

Some people will dab goo gone around the emblem and let it sit for 15 min before using the line. Hot surface is key too. I generally clean very thoroughly afterwards and wax the area good if I use chemicals.

Have fun. Sun heat should be enough...just leave it ouside for a bit before you start. You'll be fine and should be easier on a new truck. Clean the area good before you start too...removes any debris that may cause unwanted micro scratches...which a good waxing/detail will take care of anyways.
