Boating BS thread

That's pretty much what we're looking for, but tough to find locally.

 

Well, I sold my 18ft. Regal to my neighbor. Bought a 2008 Polar 2100cc. Can't wait. It's down in West Palm and I'm going to get it as soon as the trailer gets here. I had to order a new trailer because this did not have one. Anyway, my first cc. I started on a bowrider so I am excited to try the cc.

 

I used to do a lot of camping on our boat as a kid (34ft Larson) and miss it, this may get you wanting a 30+ foot CC

 

Sold my little project boat today, my uncle was looking for a hull like I had and he already had a old 50 horse outboard to put on the hull so I'm gonna look at getting a ready to go boat since I don't really have time to build one anyway.

I found a 16' Carolina skiff with a 50hp Suzuki outboard and trailer, looks to be in pretty good shape and the guy only wants 3,400 for it.

lol well I may have jumped the gun a little early on the polar...dude backed out. Must have got a better offer or something but hey sometimes things happen for a reason. I pulled the trigger on a tidewater 20ft. Carolina bay and picked it up Saturday. Took it out on Monday for its maiden voyage and could not be happier. Boat rides like a Cadillac compared to my old 18ft bow rider. I love this boat. It's a 2013 and has a yami 150 4 stroke. great little boat.

 

since falling in love with my fiends 23' sea hunt, i know what i want.
but since it isnt in the cards now or the near future, this is what i have.

just a 1436 tracker topper i bought new last year, and finally got around to doing a few things.

motorguide 55lb v2 bow mount (fixed their design flaw but if it breaks again, its gone for a minn kota)
old min kita 35lb transom mount til i get my engine
carpeted some plywood so you dont burn your butt, conduited all the trolling motor wires, and put some horse stall matting
in to level out the floor. i think this will hold up better that wood would have any day.

its just a little pond hopper that i hope to take canal fishing for flatties once i get the engine.

Yeah, shes a beauty. I just don't have enough time to deal with her. Boat like that needs frequent tlc.

 

Sea hunt is a great boat. I think they are the same company that makes tidewater boats. Hull designs are similar with the Carolina flare. Either way sea hunt is a nice boat. What did you do the floor with on that Jon boat? Looks great!

 

I love Chris craft boats. So timeless.

anyone have an outboard motor they're looking to get rid of for a few hundred bucks? I've got a local hookup that I'd love to impulse buy an Addictor Mini Boat hull from, but it's missing a motor. looking for something between 10 and 40 horse power. no tiller controlled.
