Has anyone set their Bilsteins to .85, and added a one inch top plate spacer? Thinking about adding this to my truck. I know I could just go 1.75 on the Billy's, but with the spacer I wouldn't have to preload the coil spring so much. Thoughts?

Why not just go 0 with an aftermarket spring? Same lift result without stacking lift on a lift and the ride would be better.

No. The whole point of a coil is to handle preload. Get taller springs with a higher rate over stock. The higher you raise the shock the sketchier.

Some aftermarket coils have a driver's side and a passenger's side to take care of that, I think.

While I sort of agree with what @eldedo said, I would say "no spacers, unless you really know what you're doing & are using them for under 1" of lift, and definitely not in this situation."
Put it this way, I'm doing tons of research and measurements and considering my options before I put a 1/4"-1/2" spacer in my truck to level the front.

"EVER" just rolls off the tongue way better.

Anyways, in this situation you really would be better served by new coils. Think of setting the 5100s to .85 as just a sneaky way of installing an in-coil spacer. Add to that the fact that most aftermarket top plates out there are like 2" (which is WAY TOO MUCH) and you're just asking for pain.

You can pick up a set of OME coils on Amazon for $165 shipped.

EDIT: Just realized I'm in the 3rd gen forum. Not sure which coils would be required?
