I bought a new one from Rock Auto for $350. Been about 8 months so far and no issues.

It depends just who is rebuilding them .Then just what all is replaced

    Then what brand new ??

Just what are you going by to determine your rack needs replaced ??

I was told by one shop mine needed replaced turns out all it needed were Inner Tie rods

Yea good point. I replaced one inner tie rod and the bushings in the winter and when I took it in for Maintence. I thought they were just marking me up you know how they get. But I think it's just the rack and pinion itself
