I can get very close to the EPA MPGs by driving 60-65 on the hwy and this is with the BFG ATs at 49 lbs each. I do not drive in town enough to check it.
    - no bed light
    - ridiculously tiny gas pedal
    - doors that do no all unlock with on push of button or the ability to easily program it
    - mud flaps that are way longer than they need to be. tin snips took care of this one
    - lack of gat struts on hood
    - no under dash or hood lighting
    - rearview mirror that loosens up and vibrates when it is 90 degrees+

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Vanity mirrors eventually snap internally and fall down
It rides WAY too close to the "perfect grocery getter" and "real offroad vehicle" line and ends up satisfying no one. Put a utilitarian interior in it and just call it a day for fuck's sake, it's a truck.

First thing that bugged me was the lack of a bed light.

Be honest: when was the last time you had a truck that had STOCK useful bed lights? Most of them are cheeseball and useless as hell at best.

Point taken. A stock light is good for checking on the KTM to make sure its still tied down good. That's about it. My 03 Frontier had one. Just figured a Tacoma would have one too.

Good point. Anything is better than having to get out your flashlight. I'd just as soon rather do it and have them be bed+backup lights than anything else.

My F150s worked fine for what I needed. Not like I am going to sit back there and read but I could

I don't like the black carpet, even though I have weather tech floor matts, sand gets everywhere and the black carpet really shows it off. I wish it had sand colored carpet or if all the sand was black that would work also.

...and they are even more useless if you have a tonneau cover.

    My solution:

IFS. Everything else is easily fixed. Oh, and RCA outs on the stereo would be nice. And having the navigation voice volume setting remain where I set it, instead of defaulting to the ear-splitting level, would also be good.

rear tailgate lower than the bed rails, fixed in 2016. the headlights are not automatic, the most basic functionality out there, mind you I have a 2015 with blue tooth and all that stuff.... why would they not put auto headlights on it....
