I'm looking for some HID lights to mount behind my grill.

    6-8" diameter
    4500K to 5000k temperature
    Driving/flood pattern
    50 watt preferred

My research has let me to KC, Lightforce, and Hella. Google search doesn't show me any other reputable manufacturers. Am I missing any? Experience with one of the above manufacturers on your own truck?

Yes, Lightforce. I'm looking at the Venom 170.

The KC Pro Sport HID caught my eye. ~350 for a pair of HID lights? Does anybody have and feedback on these?

The Hella 4000 doesn't seem to be well sealed, while these KC lights are IP67 rated. The Lightforce Venom is nice, but from what I've read they really are a pencil beam light, with the snap on diffuser making only a marginal difference. The Striker 170 has an internal adjustment similar to a maglite to go from spot to flood. It is available in a 70 watt, which seems like it may be too much. The price of the KC lights seems hard to beat.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
Check out Baja Designs HID options. They have a 6" prerunner light that may fit your bill.
