2015 Tacoma 4x4, not even a year old. Less than 15,000 miles on it, rear ended while stopped behind one other vehicle at a stop light. Car that hit me was going 45-50 mph, no attempt to stop. What do you think? Back end definitely worse than front.

I'm guessing totaled and the other driver was texting.

I feel your pain. Looks totaled to me. That frame probably looks like a Pringle potato chip. :(

(I know nothing about totaling Tacomas, IANAL, etc.) Did airbags go off? (affects how much work needs to be done to interior) Also, how's the frame beneath the bed look? It looks a bit high-centered to me, almost like it did some weird bending back there.

EDIT - most important question we all haven't asked yet - ARE YOU OK?

Airbags didn't go off. Fuel line done, drive shaft looks done, rear suspension done, diff looks out of place. That's most what I could tell (I'm a girl, I get a handicap ). I tow so I am worried about the frame being made right again if they don't total it-- my receiver was bent completely under and backward.

Most times if you are hit in the rear by someone going that fast, it's usually totaled due to the frame being bent and once it is bent, it is deemed weakened. Therefore, totaled. Yeah hope you are okay!!

I walked away with no injuries. People who hit me both taken away in ambulances, didn't have seat belts on. The taco more than likely saved my life or saved me from serious injury considering the speed they hit me at.

Good to hear! Definitely get your neck checked out, these sorts of things can linger (a couple years ago I got rear ended at a red light by the truck behind us, who was rear ended by a drunk driver who didn't stop, both of the other drivers left on backboards, we got lucky with sore necks for a month).

Less than a year old, I'd push for a total loss. And then some. Be sure you get your money and are at least even if not ahead a bit in the deal for a new one. You shouldn't take a loss in this. I've been screwed in an accident situation before. Uninsured motorist. Don't be afraid to lawyer up. It sucks but...

Glad you're ok! Agreed on the texting or maybe even a bit tipsy. It was a holiday weekend....

Im sure the insurance company will deem it totaled. It will end up being sold at auction to a dismantler and parted out. You have an option of buying it back but the repair bill will be out of pocket since its totaled. New frame, swap all the good parts over and replace the bad. The labor will be more involved than building a new one. It would make sense if the numbers add up but would you really drive it after this? You're lucky to be alive.

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
    Airbags deploy?

I'd also bet totaled. That frame looks toasted.

Sorry about your truck. I know I would be so mad if that happened to mine! If I was you I would get a new one. That looks pretty bad. Hope you feel better!
