go with 5w30 for your oil. ypu will need a 5 quart jug and an extra quart if you get the stuff from walmart(plus its cheaper there) run what you like, but mobil1 or pennzoil paltinum are good. for the diffs and transfer case............mobil1 75w90, i got 6 quarts to be safe, and i had a quart left over............you may wanna do the same.

if you have the 3.4 v6......you need 6 plugs.(4 for the 4cyl.). get the standard 30k mile plugs from the dealer.....i got the denso k16tr11.....and these are for the v6.

not stupid questions man...........gotta get the right stuff.:)

by thw way.......we may do the gray wire mod on my truck while you are here!!

6 plugs... How many miles on your truck Tiger?

Back surgery is never a good thing. Again, hope it is just a nerve.

Also, I asked in another thread, but what kind of armor is needed on this trip?

really, if you are just riding the easy/moderate trails, stock setup will work, but............skid plates and sliders always help alot!!!

Hopefully, I can get some sliders pretty soon. I got to get rid of my other car first, then I can start the mods. I've been looking at the All Pro Off Road sliders. I'd like to weld them on.

thanks...i'll start shopping this week...i figured it was 6 for me...but im not all mechanical and crap and can only barely begin to tell you HOW my truck works

you can get away with no armor...even on a stock truck...however...skids/sliders are nice to have

i rode most of the non-hard trails in pure stock setup

will do...like i may have have said...im not too good at this "preventive maint" haha...and up until now ive really never thought about brands or any crap like that...so im really open to suggestions...i'd like to not spend a TON of money...however i want decent stuff...if theres a fuel or oil filter thats better or oil thats better than something else...then by all means suggest it to me

i know i currently have mobil 1 5000 mile synth in my engine...but past that...without going and look i have no idea the filter brand...and since ive never changed the tranny or diff oil...well...yeah...no idea what weight or brand to go with

mobil1 5w30 for the motor, with a mobil1 m1-102 oil filter, and for the tranny......you need toyota type t-iv , which i have for ya already. for the diffs and transfer case.....get mobil1 75w90......you will notice a difference. and be sure to get drain plug crush washers for the rear diff, oil drain plug and transfer case drain plug. the fuel filter will run ya around $15 or so, i got mine at autozone, and it was a perfect fit and all. you do this......your truck will thank ya man!!:D
