im not really seeing any answers to why they charged $6 more to ship something besides "running a business is hard...mkay?!"

making a clean profit is one thing. Purposely gouging someone is another.

If you're going to charge $12 to ship something, its pretty much common sense not to ship it in a publicly known $6 shipment box.

I know that wouldnt be the image i want my company to have when a customer spends their money with me, knowing there is 100 other vendors to choose from.

Yes but if it takes 3 minutes to package and they are paying the employee in the shipping department $160 / hr then it all adds up

Covered in stickers and chrome stick-ons for extra horse torques and foot powers. Icon sticker gets me tons of travel, dozens of milimeters.
I'm assuming that was directed at me. You are expressly false in that statement. In fact, it is that kind of belief that keeps a company small.

Yup. And a great place called TacomaWorld where these topics can be brought up for public display so other people can make up their minds as well.

I won a raffle for free all pro steering arms last year at the Colorado Toyota Jambo... they donated 2 sets... when i received the arms I got a free tee shirt, coozies and about 1000000 stickers... Maybe if you don't want to pay shipping go somewhere else, but in my book they are decent people. They didn't have to donate stuff to our "maybe 50 rig" event but they did... HMMMMM Looks like they donated $500 Retail... Also they paid the shipping on my USPS Flat rate box... so thanks OP for covering my free swag.

donations which are tax deductible are not even the same thing as double dipping on shipping.

    Nice try.

Looks like you get 20% tax deduction for donating to a university... they must have got 100% for an undocumented event...I'll ask my wife the tax accountant for the truth.

They drove 3+ hrs in the dark morning this winter on shitty roads hauling their trail rig on a trailer to wheel in a local event, drop off a bunch of goodies for the raffle (including weld on sliders) and didn't even stay to eat the meal that was included in the cost of the event because they had to make the return trip (again in the dark). @allpro is okay in my book. Shop where you want.
