Remounted the winch contactor due to clearance issues. I think I can hotwire the winch at this location just by removing the grill.

Anyone know if the All Pro Hi Lift mounts can be utilized on a 1st gen? I'm wondering if I can simply drill holes to bolt it in place rather than mounting it to the bed rail (which we don't have, obviously). hi-lift-tbar-mounts01.jpg

You should really buy the bed rail system from a Tundra or Tacoma. That's what I did and it works great!
There's a pic of it mounted on my truck on my Media page.

I'm not certain, but wouldn't bed rails interfere with a softopper (in the case of 1st gens)?. I need something that will hang low enough to avoid the hinge and mounts for the topper itself.
The AP mounts look like they would do the trick of keeping the hi-lift low enough to avoid the softopper, while also securing it to the bedside.

Why not make your own mount? If your going to drill holes in the bed. Just drill it big enough and put a single bolt through it and mount the Highlift with two bolts. Then use wing nuts. How mines mounted to my bed rack minus the wing nuts. That and I just welded the bolts to the bed rack. Super simple

Definitely make your own mount. Either drill bigger holes and nut the bolt to the bed then nut the jack, or weld up a plate or two like this.

is anyone else in the SF bay area considering badland bumpers?

Can someone help me with finding the link to the wheel well splash guards pattern file. Someone had a file with patterns, so I could cut them out on my plotter. I thought I saved it, but I can't find it and I must be missing it in the search. Thanks very much in advance.

Installed some LEDs last night with CBI brackets. I'm indifferent about the switch/placement but it may grow on me. I still need to get them aimed but overall I'm happy with them

It makes the truck looks like the backup wrecking machine for taking down brick walls.

Do you not have an airbag switch there?

Like 4 inches away from the spare (or is the depth wrong)?

Nope. No airbag switch on a double cab so it was just a blank.
