Pickup these ProComp 5001 today and my local 4 Wheel Parts store. I decided on the 16" because I already had some nice Nitto Terra Grapplers 16" on the stock rims and didnt want to change them. I love the style of the rim but Ive walked outside about 15 times to look at the truck today and half the times Im thinking the wheels look great and the other half Im thinking I should have just bit the bullet and when bigger.

So what do you guys think? Should I go bigger?

The smaller the rim the better. Im sick of seeing "off road trucks" with 20" rims. Its just disgusting

Yeah Ive seen the big 20's on the trucks and I dont like it either. I would never go that big. I was thinking 17 or 18. Do you mind elaborating on why a smaller rim is better to you?

For OffRoad, the smaller the wheel, the better. When airing down to get more traction via surface area, tire size proportional to wheel size is crucial.

For what it's worth, I think they look just fine man. I actually plan to go to a size 15" steel wheel with 33"s. It's all a matter of preference.

If you really want to go bigger, and you got the cash for it, go for it dude.

    Thanks!

Thanks for clearing that up for me. I dont do any off roading. The truck isnt even a 4x4. The closest to off road this truck sees is compacted dirt and gravel at the lakes I frequent to fish.

Well my wife was in a good mood today and she gave me "permission" to purchase bigger wheels and tires as long as I sold these when i got the new ones, but it seems you all think they are fine. So I am going to keep them for a while. Like I said Ive been up in the air about it since this morning when i had the rims put on. I probably just need to give myself some time to get use to them.

I dig the truck. It looks great. What is your lift? Hmm I think my tires are a 265/70/16.

Thanks, man! I love this thing.

ICON 1.5" Progressive AAL 3-pack in the back and a in the front. The truck is a Baja (which later became Pro, I guess), so it already had 1.75" front lift from the factory.

Way softer! Had to remove the overload leaf to install the AAL, so that made it way softer that it was. I just did a 920 mile trip last weekend and the truck felt great. Also felt great on CA-1 on the way to and from Big Sur. 60+ miles of a twisty mountain road

Its also a lot worse with the cali lean dodges with deep dish chrome rims

You can tell what the intent of a truck is by looking at the wheels and tires.

Big rims and tires with small sidewalls? All for "looks" and Mall Crawling.

Small rims and tires with huge sidewalls? Off-road ready.
