It's a tough sell at $14k whole as a beat up, chopped Taco crawler.

You are going against side by side shoppers that can get a brand new one for that money and make $80 a month payments when they get financed. A die hard Toyota guy will build their own rig from a hodgepodge of parts they have in the garage. A newer Toyota guy or Jeep convert will shake his credit card at a TG catalog and build it himself. You have to find somebody that wants to skip all the work and has $14k burning a hole in his pocket.

Your best dime will come from a part out depending on how you value your time

Makes sense but this truck will not be parted out. Way too much trouble and you'll always be left with a bunch of shit nobody wants. Worst case I'll pull the turbo and wheels and tires to get the price way down and it'll sell.

And come on now... it may have a couple dents but I think it's a stretch to call it beat up :luvya:

I've had great luck on eBay, it's pretty easy to sell a vehicle, I couldn't even get people to look at my 1956 Chevy truck for $12,000 and it sold for $17,000 on eBay.

We agreed on price, I mailed him the pink slip and he got it in his name, then he sent me money and once the money cleared I was okay with shipping it. He handled shipping and big truck showed up and grabbed it, it was gone easy money.

Yeah you're not limited to a small local market on there. Just seems like such a hassle plus aren't there fees to sell on eBay?

The buyer and I agreed on a price lower than my reserve and I pulled the truck off eBay and we did a private party, I still consider it an eBay sale. he was in NC and I'm in CA. One way to do it! If you do it right and get the money first it's not scary at all and it wasn't a hassle at all. It's sort of like craigslist in a way the potential buyers will call you and ask questions just like normal.

I has no trailer anymore... Technically I could still use it and pull it with the silverado. I sold my trailer to my dad
