I don't know what product your car wash or you are using, but whenever I've had splattered tire shine shit make its way on my truck I've always simply wiped it off. If that didn't completely satisfy me I use Meguiar's ultimate auto detailer spray and it works great. Secondly like in a previous post if your tires are so shiney that you can just about see your reflection and you can see drips, there's too much product and the excess residue should be wiped off before you roll.

I've heard that you can use white wine to get a red wine stain out of some things......with that in mind, think trying to use the original tire dressing product on the stain might dissolve what's in the paint??

That's what I thought when I saw the pictures, looks exactly like rail dust. Rail dust will usually come out with a quality polish/rubbing compound though.

Some how or another I skipped over these photos and thought you were bitching about a few small areas. Christ almighty, I'd be bitching like hell, OP. That looks like crap.

    Update on the original post:
No big changes, but after reading about multiple cases of this happening online with no real solutions, it seemed that about 3/4 people said the stains would fade with the sun. It's been about a week and a half and they have begun to fade a bit. I'm going to give it a few weeks. If it doesn't work I will wash the car and head into the dealer. The stains are at the bottom of the truck and at the moment I really don't have time (planning a wedding, work, etc)to deal with a dealer sending me back and forth with solutions that won't work, or keeping my truck multiple days or worse repainting a brand new vehicle. So for now I'm being patient. If they don't fade, then when I take the truck in they won't know if the stains happened a month ago or yesterday. So it's worth a shot. Like I said though, I have noticed them starting to fade a bit, there were a few spots that got onto the door, those have faded significantly, it's just the spots on the raised paint below that seem to be ,post visible. If it doesn't work, I'll head in and see what they can do. (I will raise a little hell too)

I saw a few people specifically ask what brand the tire shine was, it was Armour All Extreme tire shine gel.. Comes in an orange squeeze bottle, with a black cap and applicator sponge. So no I never put so much on that it was dripping, I brushed all the excess around or off with the provide sponge.

If you haven't taken it in yet I would just so it's atleast documented. The longer you wait the more run around your gonna get, and or blame. They will claim it's some type of road grime and state that it's something Toyota may not cover

I'm headed back to the dealer tomorrow to try to resolve the same issue with mine. They don't want to repaint the doors for the simple fact it's a new vehicle. I don't want it repainted either. I owned it 6 hours before their tire gunk stained it. They offered me a sport to replace it but I don't want a sport. I'm gonna press for a replacement off road or a simple refund. Wish me luck.

@Ncsurveyor keep us posted! I hope you get a new truck replacement. I may be in a different boat, I had the truck for about a month and I put the tire shine on myself. I'm not sure how to approach the argument for that. If you happen to get any info out of them regarding it being a known problem that could be helpful fuel for me.

Reading the reviews for that stuff makes it look like that's exactly what the OP needs. Might get a bottle just for s's and grins.

I purchased a new Tacoma sport package white also. Washed the truck the next morning and had the same brown spot issues. The Toyota dealership I'm working with has currently ordered me a new truck. After seeing what I have read on this post. I think it's best to get a different color maybe the blue. I really love the truck just don't want to deal with this issue. Have you guys heard of any of the other colors having this problem? Thanks

    Mostly stuff I built.
I clean the lower portion of my truck with WD-40 and a micro fiber towel. This combo takes just about every thing off and has yet to damage my finish. I have been doing this for years on all of my vehicles with the exception of my FJ because of the plastic trim.

WD-40 is great for taking off tar and other things but will not do anything to this. Never had a problem like this with any other car I have owned. I have a yellow Mustang and several white cars. After theach tire shine was put on this is when I seen the problem. I'm just not going to use the tire shine and let it be.

Exactly, I've never seen a stain like this. My dealership has supposedly called a chemist in who works for the tire shine company to take a look. I'll see what happens tomorrow. They're really pushing me to keep the truck like it is and don't seem to want to find a replacement but at this point I'm not happy with the way it is....

Yep white, I bought it Saturday and it was covered in tire goop and when I got it home, the damage was done, the stains were permanent.

Well this is the 5th day in a row the dealership has told me they'd call me with a solution and for the past four I've had to call them at 6:00 pm to find anything out. Not a peep from them again today and they assured me they'd call me with a solution. I'll be at the dealership when they open in the morning to demand a refund.
