Is it worth the 60 bones? Any mpg gain/torque etc. I know an airfilter won't do anything significant but just thought I'd ask people that have one. Is it worth it?

Placebo effect imo. It gives it more of a rumble sound than stock, but I don't buy into the performance claims.

Noise that is all, no MPG gains, no horsepower gains. No nothing, paper OEM filter works better

I am a fan of the AFE pro dry/s buy it once, no oil just wash it out and let it dry and your good. No performance gains either just buy one and done.

Great Air Filter,BUT! This is just a K&N dyed Red for Toyota and is madeby and is a K&N Air Filter which you can buy for $10-20 less everywhere else ! Same exact filter and K&N also make all the TRD Oil Filters also, just dyed red! and K&N is less also here! But Yes,I have the K&N and get more power, more MPG, better Pickup and sounds better!

If you do any kind of off-roading I'd steer clear of those K&N's, they let too much crap get through. Not sure if the TRD one falls in the same category but I'd be wary of it as well.

Just replaced my dirty OEM one with a Wix brand (same style, not oiled or anything like the TRD), $20 and they work great.

Those K&N are crap for dirt and dust. I use paper. The Purolator is always the cheapest but only available at Pep Boys around here.

I tapped mine out last week. It's clean but had some dust come off the surface after wheeling

I've always gone 2 oil changes when chains the air filter. But that was when changing oil at 4k. Idk what I'll do now

    LS1 swap with nitros.
Take your air filter out and drive your truck. Do you get any improvements? Adding a K&N will do the same thing... Nothing magical about it that will force more air in, just nice that it is able to be cleaned and reused.

K&N won't clog enough to pull vacuum on an air gauge equipped box; that's a clue.

Anyone know of a nano-fiber for our trucks?
