He doesn't know what he's talking about. Apparently he thought you had an overland build! You should've told him it was Prerunner AF!

He was a nice guy, but just think he was out looking for violations. I saw him coming towards me checking every car he passed. Had to make a u-turn and got behind me before pulling me over.

I was coming home from palmdale after visiting family late one night. I had turned on my rock lights because we had dropped off my girl's Grandma and the block that they live on is really dark at night and she couldn't see the ground under the truck. I made it halfway home before I realized my rock lights were still on. I had passed a Sheriff's unit and he gave me the weirdest look. I though for sure I'd get stopped for my tint, but nothing, not even a flicker. It wasn't till a few miles later that I noticed the switch was on.

I've always been more worried on the freeways around CHP. I assumed, if anybody was gonna pull me over for lights, it would be them. Just ordered some black covers. Just annoyed I'll have to pay a fine. I was like, "really man!"

Not sure yet, I can't go online and check the citation number for 2 weeks. I looked online and it said around $197, but it may be more.

I would call the CHP or issuing office and ask if you can fix it and get it signed off. I don't see why not.

Under the 'Correctable Violation' part he checked 'no'. But obviously this can be corrected with a cover.

Does this just mean not correctable at the time of infraction?

Damn that seriously sucks, I hope you can have it dismissed somehow. Such city cops. Seriously when I lived out in Texas, Arizona and Oklahoma no DPS or OHP gave a damn about Aux lights. I had plenty of friends with modded trucks of all types, no issues. Most likely the cops themselves owned trucks with the same Aux lights! When I moved back to California I had a few people mention my KC lights possibly being an issue. How could they? I don't turn them on unless on a backroads or county road trail.

So does this law vary by city? County er what? Or just a Californa law signed into law by Jerry Brown like every other asinine law? Evidently we can get busted by cops for having a overhead LED lightbar unless covered, geez.
Not every one of us can afford to drive a Honda Civic or a Prius you know.
    Rant over lol. Thx:rofl:

Saw a White Taco with a bed rack, high-lift jack, etc.. on Narbonne Ave in Lomita this evening around 5:45ish.
I didn't get a close look as they were going south toward PCH and I was headed north to Lomita Blvd after picking up my daughter from day care.

    This anyone here?

It could have been but I didn't get a very good look. I think the rack was up higher above the cab but i could be mistaken. I just caught the truck out of the corner of my eye.

Man you are very close to me. I live in the condo complex just north of The Skating Edge and Three Brothers between 235th and 237th.
