U-Bolt Flip Kit that works w/OME Dakar Leaf's & Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags?

Hi guys,

I did a little searching and could not find my answer anywhere. Wondering if there is a U-Bolt Flip Kit out there that will work with the OME Dakar Leaf's and my Firestone Ride Rite Air Bags. I'm looking to install my Air Bag's soon and was going to put a Flip Kit on before I install the air bags. I saw All Pro has one along with Toytec! Just wondering if anyone out there has done this and has any info on it, it would be greatly appreciated!

the ubolt flip will work with any spring setup. the part that you need to look at is how that airbag attaches. you should be able to easily see from the pics.

 

The is a lower bracket that sits on top of the leafs, that bolts to the leaf pack!

 

looking a this pic, you would need to make a custom lower bracket to hold the air bag, should be easy if you have a welder.

 

I have that setup except w all pro leaf springs. There's more pics in my build and album in more angles.

Yes, but you will have to trim the bolts.

Ya trimming the bolts wouldn't be a problem at all, just wondering if its worth me even buying a flip kit or just keep the stock setup and install the bags!?

Call Low Range Offroad they can fix you up I am willing to bet. They even have a kit with sumo springs on them might eliminate your need for the air bags.

 

I was thinking about doing the summo springs since I already have the dakars, but I already bought the air bags and I'd have to sell them. I was wondering if the summo springs will hold up as good as the air bags do!

 

Having lots of experience with air bags I can just about promise you that the Sumo Springs or a set of Timbren bumps will hold up better. I have blown 6-8 air bags over the years.

 

Half temped to sell the bags and get a set of sumo springs, just wondering if I go ahead and load the truck up with firewood will the sumo springs hold up with weight like the air bags do?

 

That's what I'm considering doing cause the sumo springs are maintenance free and don't leak!!!

 

The sumo springs are supposed to give 1000 lbs of capacity.

This is how the truck looks loaded with dakar leafs and the stock bump stops, with a full load the frame is about 2" from the bump stops! I think the sumo springs should keep that level.

 

How often do you haul that kind of load?

If the answer is often the Timbren springs look like your answer
