I don't really trust any dealer. I was at a dealer (not Toyota) that had a Tacoma with TRD Sport sticker, the hood didn't have a scoop and the tailgate said SR5. The description online said it was SR5, TRD Off Road and TRD Sport. This made me wonder if dealers, or sellers, were taking parts and upgrading them to boost the value. That is what started me being leary...

Typically 17" wheels on a Sport.

Dealer to dealer, salesman to salesman, they can vary. When I looked at Tacomas my salesman showed me a used one. He intentionally pointed out that they had a truck that had TRD Off-Road decals the previous owner put on it and told me it WAS NOT an Off-Road model.

Just some dumb regular crap everyone else has
One last thing to look at if it was not mentioned yet, the SR5 and TRD (Sport and Off Road) have different front seats. Look at photos if you don't know the difference, but I've had both (still have the Sport) and there's a pretty big noticeable difference between those models.

Also would need 17" alloys and the TRD seats.

I work at a dealership (not Toyota though). It's very possible that whoever is taking and uploading the pictures just uploaded them to the wrong stock number. I doubt it's any trickery on their part. If you're interested, call the dealership and let them know the photos are wrong. They might not even realize it.

There is a not-Toyota dealer in my area that buys used base Tacomas, slaps new wheels and TRD Off Road stickers on the fenders and sells them at a ridiculous mark up. And people buy them all day long o_O

Guys, that's a true TRD Sport.
The reason the listing says SR5 is because some dealers outsource their websites to a company. They handle the picture placement, CarFax links, price "deals". It is very common for the descriptions to be a little generic which is why it also states it has steel wheels but it does not.

** I've professionaly sold more Tacomas than you can shake a stick at **

Same here. My SR5 has the yellow and blue billies on it and it came from the factory like that.

    None, but willing to learn.
I've never sold a Tacoma in my life, but there are definitely two different trucks in that add. Maybe on purpose; maybe not. All I recommend is caveat emptor.
