I am looking into putting gauges into my 96 Tacoma... Now I am not opposed to this idea, it may just be much more laborious for me. I am more of a Techi so I am wondering if anyone knows of a program/reader that I can either connect to my computer, use my iPhone 6 Plus, or even buy a tablet to use. I understand that there are Bluetooth code readers and such out there but are those the same thing I am looking into? please any input would be nice. I would like to pay more attention to my truck.

Are any of the programs that use bluetooth and the iPhones or iPads etc reliable? or are they generally crap?
