Was browsing the TC web site and noticed that they now sell the +3.5 Race series LT kit that offers 2" more ground clearance and are 10lbs lighter than the standard +3.5 Lower control arm (not that this will give me more MPG..lol)

Does anyone know if these Race series arms are geometrically compatible with the standard +3.5" Kit? I am always scraping my Lower control arms on rocks and an extra 2" might be a worthy investment down the road.

Upper arms for the race kits are exactly the same as the standard kit. I just swapped out my 3.5 standard kit for the race kit. Only downside is you have to buy the complete kit as the race lowers aren't sold by themselves. I do like the race kit much better than my standard kit and I'm seeing a little more droop before the cv's bind(could just be the new alignment)

Thanks for the info. That sucks that you have to buy the whole kit and not just the lower arms and lower uniball cups. Ill spend my money elsewhere before buying a new kit :(

to be perfectly honest you wouldn't like the cost of just the lower arms if they did sell them seperately. It would be close to the cost of the complete standard kit. the cost of the kit seemed a little high originally but resale on used kits is really good. I got back very close to what I paid for my standard kit when I sold it here in the b/s/t.

Obviously everyone's money situation is different, but I was never a fan of the uniball adapters on the standard kit ( if I was 2wd it wouldn't be bad since I could run lift spindles). To me it was a small amount of money to not have to look at my kit and have the lower arms drive me crazy. I was planning on building lower arms to incorporate the uniball into the arms and uniballs instead for bushings. I went as far as to build a jig, but the money spent saved me a ton of time in the shop

Actually, I just realized the new kit has the uniballs incorporated into the lower arms. Maybe I will look at selling my kit and upgrading to this down the road. Thanks for the info!
