Anyone put a cat back exhaust on a 2016?

Is it worth the $$ any gains in drivability ?

Hey buddy, were you having any gas pedal or steering wheel vibration prior to the install of the Magnaflow? Several of us on another thread are having this issue when driving in the 1800-2500 RPM range band and have heard that installing the Magnaflow helped.

Any feedback would be great! (I plan to install this if Toyota doesn't release a TSB soon for this issue).

Has magnaflow put up any dyno numbers for their cat back kit for the 3rd gen yet?

Amazon has it now for $518 shipped

Btw, how loud is it? I have the Magnaflow system on my 14 4Runner and it can get pretty loud in the higher RPMs. With how often the Tacoma downshifts I am a little concerned that it would get annoying.

I have the MBRP high clearance like Outkast. No gain in MPG or power. To me, I like the sound a bit more, which is about all a catback is going to do. You are still limited by the cats and manifold, so opening up the flow a little bit with a less restrictive muffler and some 3" pipe isn't going to do much.

No vibrations at all really... my truck was one of the earliest built too.. maybe the production line figured out how cut corners after they built this one. I really have nothing to complain about... I do get a bit of hesitation on the gas pedal when the engine is cold but I'm babying it while it warms up .. so that could be driver oriented.

I love the Magnaflow... really no complaints with power here at all, well cept when my wife drives it and I keep telling her to run up the RPMs before she shifts.... granny drivers... sheesh.

I think yer gonna like it specially how easy to install and the fitment is spot on. Quality parts too, better than the OEM stuff 100%.

Would you say the drone is bad on the highway? I just bought this system and am somewhat concerned about that... I do a lot of road trips to/from LA and Phoenix. My STI was straight piped from the cat back and it was loud as shit on the freeway, so I am already used to it. The pitch of the EJ at 3k-3.5k rpm wasnt necessarily droney, it was more of a buzzing so when i'd turn my stereo up it was more bearable. The Tacoma is a lot quieter and a lot more dampened inside the cab than the subie was, so I cant imagine it being any louder... however with the dump right under the cab maybe I am wrong. I do know that when I had my rear seats folded down in the STI and was driving anywhere it was borderline unbearable. Again, I think this is due to the fact that the car tried to be as lightweight as possible and had absolutely zero sound deadening material inside.

    Thanks!!! :)

Not that I expect you to know, but would you guess it is louder than a straight piped STI on the highway at 3.5k rpm? Is the drone more when the transmission downshifts to wind out some extra power from 4th gear? or is it 6th that drones?

Thanks so much bro! I see youre in Maricopa.. the motherland! My family lives in chandler.
