Right now just tie downs, bungie cords, my Clutch and Mastodon CDs . . . After reading this thread I realize I'm not nearly prepared enough. Although, I could just crank my Mastodon and scare some punks away. :headbang:

I have this living in my truck, hanging from the rear-view mirror... Steel Flame solid copper Bushido dog tag shot with a .22 at around 65yards... Technically it was somewhere between the 50yard line and the 100 yard line. There was no way for me to get an exact measurement at the time.

You can also vaguely see the ashtray that lives in that cup holder, and my monthly allowance in the middle cubby hole LMAO

I HATED my sig. It was an old department gun, and kept breaking down. That directly resulted in me not trusting it. On top of that, I hated the double action to single action on the trigger. Combine all that with the hefty tag, and I was out.

I went to glock mainly because of my comfort shooting it. I shot much better with the glock than I did with the sig. I like things about both. The glock had the best trigger action and recoil (for my hands). The Sig had a better grip angle and better sights.

I tested the new Sig P320. In my eyes, its truly the best of BOTH worlds. Great sig grip angles and sights, but with the glock trigger pull. I'm quite literally just waiting for my dept to authorize it s a duty weapon and I'll go to that.

I keep a knife, flashlight and little travel buddy, as well as some simple radios for impromptu adventures.

For some reason, I can't find any place to store my BFR inside the truck. Guess I'll have to leave it at home.

Disclaimer...I keep these in the truck since I do a lot of camping. These aren't for protection.

Council Tool Boy's Axe (stripped the paint and varnish off the head and sanded the handle and finished with boiled linseed oil). Dark Timer custom knife and Bark River knife.

i keep a tool kit, knife, flashlight and various tie down straps.. I still need to get a first aid kit. Everything else is a game time decision. I also have a gun vault for those times when I encounter someplace I can't carry. No strong opinions on gun brands. I like 'em all.

Sweet stuff bud. Id like a bark river essential in M4 steel. The fuller on it is kind of "gimmicky" but looks cool either way LOL.

I use to have a Bravo 1. Bark river makes nice blades. I had a bad obsession with knives for quite a while....

    My 2 favorite.

I have made a couple knives myself... Using only hand files for the bevels, i used a drill press and hack saw to cut the blanks out, then filed away. Took forever and they are not great. Here they are before adding handles. 52100 steel deep acid stonewashed and heat treated to 58hrc.

That took forever. In the middle of doing them i came up with the design for my hex hawks. More of a novelty item but i love em and really enjoyed making these. They were featured in Blade magazine. 52100 heat treated to 60hrc. I need to get back at it and make more eventually. But i need better tools.. that arent cheap... Otherwise i spend 10 hours on each one.

You're right. That's absolutely the best way to buy a gun. Rely on your own experience with the gun, not the commercials, product placement in movies and TV, or bumper stickers.
