I am about to get new AT tires to replace my stock P26565R17 tires and cant decide if I want to keep the same size or go up to 26570R17.

I saw some pictures of the larger size and thought that I wanted to go with those, but now I am second guessing issues such as rubbing, engine/transmission strain, and odometer inaccuracy.

Is anyone running new tires (preferably ATs) in the stock size?

Please post pictures of your upgraded tires in the stock size on stock suspension.

    Thanks!

I kept 265/65/17 stock size and went a little more aggressive with Dueler A/T Revo 2's. I will see if I can get a pic.

Here's a few photos of my truck, a 2015 DCLB TRD Sport. It has a TRD Pro lift on it, very mild as you can see. Its almost level. Sorry for the photos, but I just took them quickly in the garage. I changed the tires at 10,000KM to Goodyear Duratracs 265/65/17. I pull a horse trailer, and when I'm off road I needed a grippier tire than the stock Bridgestones. I don't wheel the truck, but I do use it in 4X4 often, on trails, fields and pastures often pulling the trailer with a couple of horses. The tires are great. Stock size is very important for me, as I don't want to lose the stock gearing with a bigger tire. Its perfect right now for what I'm doing with it. Tacoma's are pretty low powered to begin with, and slow. Bigger, heavier tires must be like dragging an anchor down the road IMHO, even if they look cool.

Thanks guys; I just got my new tires today in the stock size. I am glad I chose to go this route since they still look good and I dont have to be worried about any issues caused by bigger tires. I went with the Toyo Open Country AT II and they actually look bigger/better than I thought they would. Thanks again for the help!

Good choice. I got a set several months ago and love them. Great tire.

Yea thanks man; I cant believe how smooth/quiet the ride is. They almost feel softer/smoother than the stock highway tires. I love the looks too. Are they any good in snow? Ive heard good and bad reviews for snow traction

I'd say they are pretty good in snow. Not as good as my Blizzak's on ice, but good nonetheless.
