Just thought others may want to see an easy way to carry bikes on the new taco. I apologize in advance if someone has already posted this. This way you can still use the bed to carry gear, backpacks, etc. We're extremely active, and need all the space we can get. This cost less than $150 to do. And they are locked (safe).

Nice! I put a plate of steel under my mounts so they wouldn't rock back and forth.
Does your tri-fold still fold up? They look kind of high. Mine folds up perfectly, but if they were a microbe taller it wouldn't.

How did you attach the railing to the bed cover? Any close up pictures?

I'd like to see a pic of it folded up too. I might like this better than my solution.

I have three brackets across the toolbox lid so I can fit three bikes side by side.

I ordered them from Amazon. You can get the Non-Locking ones for cheaper, and just use a bike cable to lock them. But I like the clean look of these here.
I used a 7/16 drill bit and these 1/4" top hat grommets.

Oh yeah, I also bought some stock steel (1/8" thick) and used it to support the bolts from the bottom. Super easy and prevents them from rocking back and forth.

I would consider adding the steel to yours like i did above. It helped a lot with the bikes swaying back and forth around corners.
