Mr Marv sub box Jl audio dual 12tw3

I selling my subwoofer box built by mr Marv. If you don't know him he does amazing work. The box fit my 2014 double cab. If was for 2 Jl audio 12tw3. The box sounds amazing and is loud!! $200 plus shipping. Mr Marv made it as two separate boxes you just have to screw them together from inside speaker hole. Does not come with speakers!!

Will any other 12" fit in this box?

 

You will have to compare specs. Any shallow mount should fit. Check on JL audio's web page. JL audio 12tw3 is the speakers that were in it. It will tell you air space as well. The box was made to spec.

 

Find the speaker you like...look at the specs and see the cut out requirement and the mounting depth. Also look at the cubic feet requirement and if it's close...should work... but if you have a speaker builder should help you crunch the numbers for you.

If you take the 2 pieces apart is it split the same as the back seat (70/30)?

 

It's not. It's looks that way because of that cut out on driver side. That is to get around the lower seat belt bracket. But the air space is the same for each speaker. You could use 1/2 and put behind your passenger side and keep driver side storage bin. I have done an install like that on my buddies truck and we put the amps there. I had my amp under my passenger seat. Placed a small piece of plywood under carpet and screwed amp to plywood with small screw. I don't like holes in my new truck!!

 

Why don't you take another few photos with it together and with the two speaker box apart to give potential buyers a better view. Original photo has low lighting and hard to tell the black carpet where it starts and end.

 

Here is a picture of a box built by mr Marv. It's for the jl13tw5. It's the same size just bigger holes for the subs. I'm not going to cut the carpet and remove the boxes to show they are 2 pieces. Unless the customer want me too. Because the carpet will be cut. This is what the box looks like with no carpet. You can see the seam were the two boxes are joined!! Sorry for the low lighting. I'll get more pics. ASAP!

 

If you put carpet all the way across the back it won't fit. The subs will be to close to the seat backs. This is the biggest box that you can fit behind the seats.
