With a 3" leveling kit up front, what is the proper wheel back spacing to clear a 285/75R16 on a 16x8 wheel? I'm hoping my factory wheels will clear with a 1.25" Spider Trax spacer but I haven't test fit with the new tires yet. Basically looking to gather info now so I can prepare for the worst. I'm going with General Grabber AT2 tires so no crazy side lugs or anything. My concern is finding the happy spot that clears the upper control arm as well as the inner fender. I don't want something that sticks out any further than I need it to, just enough so I don't have any rubbing.

Not to sound rude, but when I buy tires I tend to decide based on my intended use and the terrain I encounter and then factor quality/cost.

    Do you need a 285 over a 275 or 265 or do you want a 285 over a 275 or 265?

Guess you could do a 275 and save mpg and rubbing issues.

Awesome set up! I have a similar build with 887 set at 0. Question for you, did you install any lean spacers on your strut assemblies? Did you have any issues with driver's side lean? I'm down a half inch almost on both front/rear.

Thanks! Yes, 1.75" front 1.5" rear

usafwx pretty much answered your question but I'll expand a little. the wheels are called "fx pro" wheels and you can get them from Dustin at FNwheels.com, You'll need to call. They are not on his website.

    Thanks!

It's a great set up, but you will need aftermarket UCA's. Haven't been able to get it aligned to spec. I recently bought the ICON tubular UCA's and will possibly get them installed tomorrow. I'll keep you posted

I left the coilovers at the factory settings and recently bought ICON UCA's that will be going on soon. Just wanted to get the alignment dialed in. No trimming was needed and the ride is great so far. MPG is about the same.

I read a while back that someone offered sliders for us that stuck out enough to offer protection against door dings. The idea was the persons door with hit the slider before hitting your doors and denting them Anyone know who it is that offers these?

I would think most sliders with steps & kickouts will give you that. Some nerf bars and steps should as well. I think the BAMF sliders would do it, but I think my predator steps would as well... at least I hope so. I guess it partly depends on your ride height.

I set my 5100's up front at 1.75 and used Spidertrax (1.25"). It was enough backspace clearance so I didn't have to get aftermarket UCA's and there's no rubbing and I no chopping/cutting needed. This allowed me to get 285/70/17 KO2's on my stock Sport wheels:)
