Alright so I currently do not own or ever owned a Tacoma. But I am looking to either trade my car in for one or buy one and keep my car. I currently own a 97 Camaro. I would like to know as much info as possible about Tacoma's though. I have always loved them and been interested in owning one just never had the money to purchase one. now I am able to possibly own one. I am more interested in the 2005+ models which have the 4.0 v6 4x4. I also am currently debating whether I should get a LS1 Camaro or a Tacoma. so any help/info on tacomas and/or why owning a Tacoma would be better would be extremely appreciated. thanks and hope I can get as much info as possible. thanks.

Just depends on your needs. Do you envision yourself wanting to go places an LS1 can't? Do you need a truck for hauling stuff? The two are totally different so I guess you need to decide if you want an upgraded sports car or maintain 2 vehicles (sports car for on street fun, taco for off road fun).

that's the problem, I want both but I know currently I cannot own both. I love Camaros but also tacomas. I am interested in stuff like hunting, fishing, camping and all that stuff and I always say I need a truck in those cases when I cant fit stuff in the Camaro, so my best guess is probably go for a Tacoma and keep my car and later on purchase an LS1. could you guys possibly give me info on the cost of maintenance on tacomas and common problems 4.0 tacomas have and just give me feedback on them

If you're after a hunting truck I'd suggest finding an old Chevy or Ford truck or at least a 1st gen Taco or old 79-95 Pickup and keep/get the Camaro. They've softened trucks up a lot over the past decade or two, but they are still nothing like a car when driven daily. Not to mention if you do get a newish Tacoma, it'll hurt beating it up on hunting trips.

    Welcome!

Hearing your list of interested sounds like buy the Tacoma and save for the LS1.
