@Cohbsteq @zscott would you guys trust a hanging a hammock to the side of the 1st gen rack? Got an awning and was going to set up a hammock under it but don't want the rack to come ripping out of the roof

I've had a cabrac since the winter and remember seeing the bedrac on Scott's site at one time I think. Whatever happened to the bedrac? No longer being produced?

Yeah it's going from tree to rack. About 185 pounds so, but I had to put the rivnuts or whatever on the roof so that's why I asked

Is there going to be another group buy anytime soon? One of these racks is moving higher on my short list of things I don't need but really want.

@zscott I know on your website it says lead times can vary but I was curious if I was to order a rack for my canopy and a access cab rack if I would have it in time for my vacation which is the beginning of August?

    Nothing worthy
I know these racks were originally designed for 2GEN models. Has the height the moon roof pops up on the 3GEN been taken into consideration with the height of the rails?

    EDIT:
After reading a few posts I came across this, i'll go measure.
Still tho, i'm ok? Ready to order me thinks..

The crossbars are moveable so it would be a matter of shifting them forward or backward to allow for the moonroof to open if needed.

I can probably make that happen. I have a pretty hefty stock of access cab racks and 6' bed toprac so I wouldn't be waiting on parts, its just getting the other orders out that are ahead of you.

I've been meaning to get around to this for a while - i installed the rack itself in early February, and was immediately somewhat irritated by the degree of wind-noise. A bit of experimentation with a pool noodle, indicated to me that the noise producer was at the in-cut corners of the air-dam. The only thing to do to test that theory, is get even more experimental. It's also a reinforcing lesson in the maxim of "never throw nothing out".

A couple hours with a hacksaw, a file, and some scrap 1/16" stainless steel with an appropriate pre-bend that's been kicking around for the past decade or so has produced "winglets". The passenger side obviously also blanks out the Prinsu laser-cut logo - I suspect that's also a source of noise. I reinstalled and took a few photos in the dying light.. no road test yet.

Well I'm just special then. Lol. Honest answer... I didn't notice it was backwards until about 2weeks ago. And I'm a dick cause I didn't realize his logo was backwards.

Insert sentence trying to cover ass: if someone looks in their rear view mirror the logo is proper? :p lol
