    hello all,

I was curious if anyone on here has ran an amp to the stock non jbl speakers in their 2016 double cabs? Or if anyone has put in aftermarket systems that were relatively cheap? I don't want to replace the factory engine system. The stock system isn't bad, but I would like to get a little bit more out of them speakers. I have looked at th OEM Audio plus system, but don't want to spend $1500. Thank you!!

Pushing fronts and sub. Install was easy, at least for me, I've done this before. I would recommend a lot of reading and video watching before you do it. If you don't mind spending extra 150-200 for the install with lifetime warranty, I would recommend that. Like Best Buy or cartoys in my area.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you have in it? I have done several car audio installs in the past, but I am hesitant to do anything to my truck just cause it's so new lol

Totally, that's why I said just pay someone to do it. That way you get warranty too.
What do you mean how much-total cost? Look above I wrote how much it cost me. Total was ~600

Oh haha my bad, I didn't see that! Thank you for your input! That's much less than the OEM audio system that I was looking at

Next step will be focals in front and I'm all set, even though it sounds great right now. I probably will blow fronts first and then add Focals. That way I can give my wife some time to recover after my "investment".
I don't understand why Oem cost so much. To me it's seems the same as what you get from the factory-only bigger magnets on the speakers and sub in the box. That's how I look at that, oh and plug-n-play deal.

I put in a 5 channel kenwood amp, Digital Design 6.5 component speakers in the front and a 10" kicker behind the passenger seat. I live in Hawaii and so it cost it little more here, it cost me $1200 installed. There is no way I would attempt to hook into a new system on my own.
