Sorry but you should have spend $60 more and replaced with OEM.

    Best $130 ever spent!

My plan is to return the cheapo once I fix the original... because I don't think a replacement is needed. But yes I will always buy oem for things like this. I had just heard reports of that not being necessary and this one had a lifetime warranty.

I did the fix before I read all the comments haha I am quite happy with the fix for now it's been 3 days and no squeek, I hope it works couse I am not dropping 130 bucks on a new blower motor.. For the meanwhile I'm just hoping that the fix holds up...

Amazon has the 04043 for $114.99 shipped. Does anyone know what exactly they changed on the 04044? Thought about just ordering it and giving it a shot.

Do you think it's easier to just replace the blower instead of doing the fix? Just curious on what peoples thoughts are. The ticking is driving me insane.
    Thanks!

The fix was quite simple, however i just greased the bearing. I'm not sure if it'll come back but for now i've been 3 weeks sound free and 120 $ more in my pockets.. I would give the fix a try some people have long term success with the fix others not so much. If it works you save 120$, if not you spend 1 hour of your time..

Yeah I just replaced mine with the 4044 and the same thing, the cap wouldn't fit and I also left it off. Is yours running ok without the cap? Do you know if they sell a cap that fits the 4044?

    Thanks!

To give an update on this. The vendor on Amazon sent me the latest 04044 revision to the blower motor and I installed it yesterday. All you hear is the air through the vents. Hopefully it holds up better than the OE one did.

Would you mind elaborating on what you did to the sharp edges of the brushes?

How's the Four Season's blower fan holding up? Any increase in the noise? It's asking a bit much, but would you be able to record a video of the slight noise this blower makes? Thanks in advance.

    Doing well. No chirp. :D
Will try to get a video for you.
Not sure how to do it without creating a YouTube acct for it.
Maybe PM me with your email address and I could maybe send it that way.
Let me see what I can do for you.

I ordered the Four Season's blower, as well: https://www.rockauto.com/en/moreinfo.php?pk=3809412&cc=1447055&jsn=1

The fan itself makes a swirling noise on the 2 highest settings, but it's nothing distracting. I would compare it to the sound of hearing fan blades push air. For the price, I'll take a mildly louder fan over the obnoxious chirping.

I followed this thread when I noticed my newly purchased '10 was making the dreadful chirp on low speeds from the blower motor. At first I replaced the cabin filter, cleaned debris and then removed motor to lube. This worked for a couple days and it came back. Went to O'reilly auto parts and ordered a new one for $70. Runs great and very quiet!

Old thread, but just did this today and so far so good! The guy who sold me the truck said "It makes a noise on low, but never bothered me" It drove me crazy the whole way home, so it was a must.
