    What kind of drop hitch would you guys recommend? I have a 6 inch lift and want to drop it a bit to tow my utility trailer.

    More brand. I only have one trailer and planned to do a hight check to see how much I needed to drop it. I was just worried about brand so I don't buy something cheap.

    I think Reese is a pretty good name in trailer hitches, but it won't break the bank. When you get a drop hitch, get something that allows the tongue of the trailer to slope downward towards the front rather than upward. That gives you better towing-handling.

    I think we should do a big TW summer time BBQ!!!

    We need someone to host who has enough room for parking and grilling. We could cook beef, pork, chicken, venison, elk, fish, oysters? Maybe pick up an 80ish lb pig?

    Maybe a keg or some growlers?

    @busmup808 ?

    Some flags and center console divider... lots of things on the wanted list.
    I've got parking and room inside. But I don't know if I have a wife that'll accommodate. I'll talk to her.. 20th or 27th.

    Could always do it at a state park. Be plenty of room that way. People would have to bring grills though. I could possibly do it at my place but Im far from most of ya

    I agree with lift the trailer. I have a 4x8 utility trailer that I went from sprin under to spring over axle. Fit the 3" lift on my truck quite nicely. Just know that the bigger the drop, the more it torques on the receiver, and thus the less weight you can reasonably handle. If you can lift the trailer enough to get by on 3" drop rather than 6" drop, you will be better off.

    Maybe like somebody who lives in the country on 10 acres where gunshots are a regular occurrence. Plenty of space for people to stretch out RTTs or pitch one on the ground. My dogs run around all the time without leashes or collars. All I'd have to do is have the wifey spend more time with her sister. Also as a minor side note, I am 40 minutes north of i90 above Spokane

    This is right up @busmup808 's alley! I'm too lazy to find the post, but I seem to remember him saying we are all welcome any time as long as we bring beer?

    Yes you are all welcome to my house for a bbq. My back yard is pretty big and there is a lot of parking for the trucks. Heineken is the choice of alcohol, but all other brands are welcome. Even the harder stuff are gude. I will let you know that, if you can't drive back home, I will not have you drive! Safe iz always better than sorry.

    To the rat problem: you need a farm cat. Doesn't matter that you may or may not like cats, it's like having an exterminator that gets paid in food scraps. Clean up is still on you, unfortunately

    To the hitch question: if you are dropping much, get a solid core hitch.

    Great lets figure out a date! Maybe pick a Saturday in case people have to sleep over from drinking. I just might make a run up to Taylor Shellfish Farm to get fresh oysters. Also been saving some elk backstrap for a special occasion.

    There are wheeling trips planned for the last two weekends of this month so maybe the first half of August?
