I am terrible on the computer, so be patient. I purchased some bilstein 5100's for my 2008 Tacoma; frame recall. I have only been on this forum twice and my buddy was right, you have answered most of my questions. Somebody asked if I lived in N.H. because I mentioned Donovan Springs. I live 10 miles east of concord, use to live in Manchester. I am going to set the front shocks at 1.75 and have the dealership install front and back, then I am going to bring it to Donovan Spring and have them add a leaf. My question is going to probably sound dumb, but here it goes. Only the Front shocks came in today (should of ordered kit instead of buying them separately) Rear shocks are on there way. Couldn't wait to open, wanted to check them out and make sure everything looked ok. Somebody said they didn't get boots. Have boots, plate is black, some showed silver, but they look sweet! Here comes the dumb question, what's the best and easiest way to move the rings into position? Somebody said use your finger nail, put I chew them. They don't appear very rugged, depth wise; but was they are seated Bistein said you will never brake them.
    thanks Nate

The rings can be moved in same way you would put a key on a key ring. Just start at the leading edge, and pull it up. Once the edge is out of the groove, the rest will follow. Just slide up to the next groove.

Don't worry about the rings failing. Once the spring seat is installed over them, it locks them in place.
