So I am in the middle of installing a set of front 5100s on my stock springs and i just relized that my 5100's don't come with any dust boots. I don't thing the old one would even fit over the new 5100. So my question is do I need dust boots ? And if so where to get em?

You don't need dust boots. Some say that they actually shorten shock life.

I just got my 5100's. They were on my front porch when I came home. Plan to install them this weekend. Rear lift isn't here yet.

I was looking for info on them as well. Some on Google Image search have them and some don't

Mine had these plastic covers on 'em. They're number 24-239370

Yeah, I suppose I'm simple, I like to look in there and see something shiny.

One more question, I got my new shock in at the first setting up and now I am having trouble putting the lower shock mount bolt into the LCA. I can put it in reverse of how it came out (nut facing the rear of the vehicle) but when I try to stick the bolt in from the back it gets hung up on the cv shafts. Is it ok to put it in in reverse? I don't really see any reason why it wouldn't be.

No reason there, just make sure everything is torqued to spec and put a dot of loctite on it all and you're fine.

Ya no worries on the bolt direction as Volcom said. Either is fine.

Don't mean to jack the thread but I felt it was appropriate asking here..and I'm sure it been answered already but having trouble finding what I need

Does anyone have any tutorial or links to YouTube showing how to install the 5100 strut/AAL combo? I'm willing to do it myself just want something to give me a little help or else I'm going to end up paying $320 install(cheapest QOUTE I've gotten around here)

There is a guy on Here - Chris 4x4 - that did some write ups for the installs and even tells you what size sockets/wrenches etc. you need. Just rent a spring compressor from the AUto parts store or take the struts to a real man for assembly (hhaha just kidding). It's really not bad at all. YouTube and searching the sites. Save yourself the $320, use part of that for alignment.

BTW im no expert, just to dumb to be scared of doing anythng myself so I get in there and tear it apart. I know, it's a 2015 but you'll be fine.
