My first 200 yard zero in!
3 rounds from the Ruger precision rifle in 6.5 Creedmore
That's at a total of 48 rounds down the pipe so far.

I think I'm going to sell my 30-30; really don't see myself going deer hunting anymore.

What's the best way to sell a gun? I've never done it.

Post it on Armslist. Check your local laws but I assume in TX you can do a face to face private transaction with no paperwork. Assuming it's a Marlin 336, expect to get $300 to $500 depending on configuration & condition. Just like with trucks, accessories don't add value in a 1:1 ratio.

    Depends on the state.
Ms it's legal to sell private party without doing anything with FFL's.

Spread word around to your buddies and it will sell, cash works great and if you feel like you need paperwork on it print up a bill of sale, you sign, buyer signs, have a witness or two sign.

Armslist is probably the easiest way as others have said. Just know that anyone can try to scam you regardless of how you sell it. Also be cautious of strangers coming to your home to buy it. Sell it face to face, cash only. I've sold around 10 guns on armslist and bought several without any problems, usually the same day I put the add on there. Some I didn't get a great feel for so we met in a public place.

If it is a more rare gun or something that is a small niche type gun, gunbroker is good, but that will usually involve an FFL on both ends. I only use gunbroker for some of my more rare or expensive guns.

well I guess it qualifies for a firearm if its loaded...:) but Ive been helping a friend work on his house and usually he pays me couple hundred here and there. Today I came home from helping another friend and that Camo traditions muzzleloader is sitting there! I was going to buy it but he gave it to me for helping him out! Im going to shoot it later this morning.

Went to the range today, shot 150 rounds through the sig 40. Needless to say the long trigger pull from the dao is kind of a pain. My grouping is primarily south west of the bullseye.I am going to use this attached picture next time to hopefully help me adjust my grip, and ill probably pick up some snap caps. Also, I sent in my CCW application today, had the class yesterday, it was surprisingly informative.

    Thanks!

What are your guys thoughts on holding off on buying large quantities of 40 and 223 to instead buy a 22lr pistol and rifle to use them to practice?

My thought is everyone should have a good 22 rifle and pistol, so if you don't have one now, get one.

If you are shooting a good group, adjust the sights.

If you want to train for your Sig and AR either buy conversion kits (Sig makes a 22lr kit for P220/226/229, CMMG makes 22lr conversions for ARs) or buy a 22 version of what you have already (22lr P229, S&W MP15/22)

    Buying a Ruger MK3 and a 10/22 isn't really helping you train for using a P229 and AR15.

That being said, the conversion kits are about the same price as 1000 rounds for each.

Quality trigger time is good regardless of the platform. I've never seen anyone not benefit from more trigger time. Everyone should own a good 22 pistol and rifle if they want to be a better shooter.

Right, but if you're trying to train to get used to a DA to SA trigger pull, you kinda need a DA/SA to do that.
