Nothing fancy, yet. Weathertech mats front/back + their mud guards, some reflective striping and custom carpets on the storage bin lids underneath the jump seats.
My Mom and your Dad must be related.
At age 69, she bought her 1st new car - a 1997 Thunderbird (mag wheels, V8, spoiler, etc...)
After a lifetime of used cars, she felt it was time to get something nice & new for once.
So, she called the dealership 30 miles away, made the deal over the phone and they brought it to the house.
Dad came home and asked, "Whose car is that?"
    Mom, "Mine."
    Dad, "Where'd you get it?"
Mom, "The nice young man from the Ford dealership delivered it."
Dad, "How'd you pay for it?"
Mom, "I wrote a check. That okay?"
    Dad, "I guess so! "

I think the warm socks analogy was your Dad's way of saying he will pickup half the cost to help eliminate your cold feet!

My dad was 48 when the end came and my mom at 51. So when I had my major accident totalling a 2015cx5 I knew it was time for my dream truck. Explained to the wife that it was the right time and she loosened the purse strings and said "go get your truck". Best words ever said lol

So I decided to say yes, of course. And then... through a series of unfortunate events, the truck was no longer available. Sigh.

But, some clouds do have silver linings, so I ended up with an order for the exact same truck (TRD AC OR LB) in Inferno! Can't wait.
